The Huntington Art Collections give consideration to two distinct areas—European art from the fifteenth to the early twentieth century, and American art from the colonial interval to the present. The European collections are displayed in the Huntington Art Gallery, the unique Huntington residence. American art is on view within the Virginia Steele Scott Galleries of American Art. Temporary exhibitions are offered within the MaryLou and George Boone Gallery, and smaller, centered exhibitions are presented in the Works on Paper Room in the Huntington Art Gallery and in the Susan and Stephen Chandler Wing of the Scott Galleries.
